As in the field of financial affairs, Malta is today on the threshold of establishing herself as a major world IT centre where students of all ages and nationalities can qualify and assure themselves of a bright future in one of the fastest growing industries of the global economy.
Chosen as the site of a multi-national IT project entitled SmartCity, Malta will fast seal her now decades-long commitment to IT development. The Island already boasts a vast array of IT institutions geared to provide all the necessary training services and acquisition of qualifications.
Many local companies offer computer training courses tailor-made for the individual seeking to obtain the right IT qualifications. You can, for example, earn both a European Diploma and an internationally recognised American Diploma by following just one course. The European Institute of Education (EIE) is a multi discipline, multi skill, resource group based in Malta, having education at the core of its business activities. In its long list of courses, it offers a US High School Diploma in Personal Computer Specialist, Computer Graphic Artist, Java Programmer, Programming in Basic computer training, Visual Basic .NET Programmer and Visual C++ Programmer. Other IT courses are provided by the University of Malta's IT department and other private organisations.
The working language is always English, but Malta's renowned multi-language skills come in handy in the teaching and training of IT students from all over the world. Training and teaching processes, which most often result in the acquisition of the desired qualifications, are set against a new and exciting background of numerous working opportunities.
Malta's IT future could be your future. Be one of these two fast-moving parallel lines.
