Fed up with work? Fed up with your social life? Fed up with life in general? Then why not go for a complete change of scene and move, lock, stock and barrel, to Malta?
Since this tiny island joined the European Union, there have been thousands of Maltese people seeking greener grass in other Member States. But it works both ways. And many thousands of others have moved to Malta for a taste of what living in the middle of the Mediterranean is all about. So why not join them?
Housing is relatively affordable - especially if you rent - and the job market is quite buoyant although work permits are still, at this point, necessary. Private schools teach in English so there will be few language problems for your children and the long summer holidays will allow you to spend more quality time with them before they grow up and fly the nest.
There are, in short, a million things going for Malta, so why not take advantage of them? If you need help planning your move or advice on what you can and can't expect when you get here, there are numerous agencies and organisations that will guide you through the whole process.
It may be a bold decision and one which scares the pants off you, but it could just be the best darned decision you ever make. After all, you only live once. So make the most of it!
