International Fair of Malta
Whatever the time of year, in Malta there is always some kind of trade fair going for you to visit and to browse at leisure. From bird shows, energy, gardening and boats to interiors, travel, property, food, drink and many others, these frequent fairs attract a lot of visitors, both local and tourists.
The main event, however, is the International Fair of Malta, which the Malta Trade Fairs Corporation organises every July. The MTFC is a national body dedicated to the organisation of this wide spectrum of fairs. Held throughout the year, the fairs encompass all areas of trade and commercial operation, addressing both the corporate sector and the general public.
With an annual attendance of more than 100,000 visitors over a period of 12 days, the International Fair of Malta has established itself as the major event in the Maltese commercial calendar. The fair is a showcase of Malta’s endeavors in the field of business enterprise.
The event is a general fair and is open to the public. Exhibits include industrial goods, consumer goods, motor cars, services, agricultural stands & fisheries. There is also the participation of national pavilions representing a number of other countries.
Over the years these have included Australia, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Libya, Pakistan, Tunisia and the United States of America.
Many people make an evening out of visiting the fair because it’s at this time when special entertainment shows are staged for the crowds. The general atmosphere is one of good business, good marketing and good fun, all in one. Every fair is widely advertised so you won’t have problems finding the venue to which special public transport services are provided.
Most events take place at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre, which is close to the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali. For more information about what fairs are on and when visit the MFCC website.
